He's fucking Ben Affleck!

Jimmy Kimmel responds to Sarah and Matt.

Hysterical, and it stars Harrison Ford, Robin WIlliams, Brad Pitt, Domonic Monaghan, Camron Diaz, and a host of other stars and musicians.

Coolest anniversary gift ever!

It's the ring Aragorn wears in the Lord of the Rings movies. (The Ring of Barahir.)

Mini-14 with 10 round mag

My 10 round magazines came in today. Now we're talking! (Of course, if I lived 10 minutes south of here in PA, I could get a 30 or 40 round magazine...)

RIAA winning millions, giving none to artists

In a news story that should be surprising to no one, it turns out that all of the money the RIAA is suing people for in the name of their recording artists isn't really going to the artists.

Shocking, considering the people who cheat the artists the most are their record labels.

Sonata Arctica to tour NA with Nightwish

Sweet!

My wife and I missed Sonata this winter, but now I'm glad, because I can catch them with Nightwish and get two good bands at once.

$1 Billion needed to compete with WoW?

STORY

As per the norm, upper management and investors are totally clueless. You guys want a way to compete with WoW? I wrote an article on it: HERE

It doesn't take a billion dollars. It takes some people with an ounce of fucking common sense and a pinch of perception.

And by the way, Captain Activision: Sony didn't fail when making MMORPGs. They wouldn't be putting out the dozens of expansions for EQ and EQII if they weren't making good money on them.

Some people are so uptight

So, apparently a fast food chain in PA put up billboards with the slogan "Crispy Frickin' Chicken" and upset some of the "moral majority" with their "foul language". (STORY)

Get over it you morons.

I'd like to open a fast food join with the slogan "Yo, try our fuckin' fried chicken, bitches! It's fan-fucking-tastic!" I'd call it Big Bastard Burgers.

Hero's Journey developer?

Maybe! I received an email today from Simutronics, developers of the upcoming MMORPG Hero's Journey. They liked my application and want to set up an interview. I'm excited. Some people bash an opening like this, but to me it seems like a good way to get a foot in the door of the industry.

It's the size of the bullets

For people who aren't aware, this is why I laugh at how huge the rounds for the Russian M44 rifle are. On the right are two 5.56mm (.223 Remington) rounds. These are the bullets that the US military uses in the M-16, the M-4, and the SAW. (For those of you not gun literate, this means these bullets are used in most US military rifle and machine-guns.)

On the left is the 7.62x54R round used in the M44.

Now you see why I had a bruise on my shoulder after firing the M44 at the range.

Global warming twice as deadly as previously assumed!!

Fear-mongering idiots still just as dumb as before.

STORY.

Oooh, he ran a computer model and it told him what he wanted to hear. How shocking. I can run a computer model that shows how much better the world would be for everyone if I had a million dollars, but it doesn't fucking make it true.

My newest toy!

It's a Ruger Mini-14 semi-automatic rifle, chambered in .223 (5.56mm). I've been looking at them for while, but I just found out Wal-Mart had started carrying them again, so I could actually afford to buy a brand new one. (And at $150 cheaper than Gander Mountain)

It looks like a pretty standard rifle, but that's because the included magazine is a 5 rounder that fits flush with the bottom of the rifle. I have two 10 round magazines (unfortunately the limit for NY state, bastards) on the way though, and they will stick out from the bottom, making it look a little less like a deer rifle, and a little more like a military rifle. (Which the Mini-14 is actually based on.)

Yes, Bill Ruger based his Mini-14 carbine off the M14 battle rifle, which he helped design. The M14 itself is an upgrade of the M1 Garand rifle. The Mini actually uses a bolt system very much like the M1. Very cool.

And that's my dog, Crichton. I couldn't get him away from the rifle. He likes my toys.

V-Day pics

Just found these on my camera. I haven't been feeling too well the past couple of weeks, so I haven't been posting too much. (Back issues, fun!)
